Bunch of oldies today, which will probably be a recurring theme as I sort through my Dad's old '68 + '69 Topps cards and send them out:
  • Ron Perranoski, 3/2 c/o home, 39 days - added an extra Topps card
  • Steve Blass, 2/2 c/o home, 10 days
  • Clay Carroll, 2/2 c/o home, 10 days
  • Mike DeJean, 3/3 c/o home, 12 days
  • Bud Selig, 2/4 c/o home, 16 days - signed the HOF postcards but kept both Topps cards that I scoured to find, unfortunately
  • Michael Houlemard (Negro Leagues), 2/2 IC c/o home, 8 days
  • Ulysses Young (Negro Leagues), 2/2 UC c/o home, 10 days - with a great inscription
  • Helen "Sis" Waddell (AAGPBL), 1/1 c/o home, 18 days
  • Meyer Steinberg (non-sport; one of the last survivors who worked on the Manhattan Project), 3/3 c/o home, 7 days

Fun mail day:
  • Terry McKinley (AAGPBL), 3/3 c/o home, 9 days
  • Guion Bluford (non-sport; first African American astronaut), 3/3 c/o home, 11 days
  • Russ Giguere (non-sport; musician), 2/2 c/o home, 9 days
  • Harry "KC" Casey (non-sport; musician), 3/3 c/o home, 29 days - $5 fee
And received a nice Sandy Koufax that I purchased for my collection.

That is a nice Koufax. What did that set you back?
Thanks. I snatched it up with a BIN at $275 after about an hour of it being listed. I'm working on a complete signed set of Topps cards from his playing years, and this one seemed a bit underpriced - it's usually around a $350-$400 card at auction, so I feel pretty good about it.

Some pretty ones today:
  • Dave Giusti, 3/3 c/o home, 13 days
  • Dave Morehead, 3/3 c/o home, 9 days - with "Impossible Dream" inscription
  • George Culver, 7/3 c/o home, 8 days - sent 4 of his own signed custom cards; however, added "Trump 2020" on the outside of the SASE, which felt a bit unnecessary (and certainly isn't changing my vote...)
  • Garry Roggenburk, 1/1 c/o home, 8 days
  • Dave Pallone (umpire), 6/3 c/o home, 11 days - signed both index cards used for support and sent a nice signed note
  • Ron Teasley (Negro Leagues), 4/4 c/o home, 10 days - kept $20 check, love how the Allen & Ginters came out
  • Norma Whitney (AAGPBL), 3/3 (1 TC, 2 IC) c/o home, 11 days
  • Betty Petryna (AAGPBL), 1/1 c/o home, 27 days
  • Richard Petty, 2/2 c/o business, 14 days
  • Non-success: Harold Baines returned my 3 cards and $12 check unsigned - guess I missed the window?
